School’s out and summer is here!

As we close the books on another school year, take a moment to celebrate how far you’ve come—whether it was learning something new, making a new friend, or achieving a personal goal. Now it’s time to relax, recharge, and enjoy all the sunshine, adventures, and memories summer has to offer.

Wishing all our students, staff, and families a safe, fun, and refreshing summer break! You’ve earned it!

On June 5th, several athletes from the Middle School Track & Field team competed at the Mid Michigan MEGASTAR meet, going up against top competition from across the region.

  • Josh Miller placed 8th in the 55m Hurdles with 8.73, and earned a PR in the 400m with a time of 55.62.

  • Melanie Jones finished 11th in the 400m with 1:03.56 and competed in the 200m.

  • Porter Bryson ran a personal best in the 3200m, finishing with a time of 11:25.38.

  • Klaire Keiffer impressed in the field events, taking 4th in Pole Vault with 9-06.00, 5th in High Jump at 4-10.00, and 14th in Long Jump with a PR of 14-07.25

  • Adelita Tobias also competed in Pole Vault, clearing 7-00.00 for 15th.

  • Great job to all athletes for representing Maple Valley with strong performances and personal bests!

On June 7th, the Varsity Baseball team competed in the MHSAA Regional Final at Spring Arbor University against Petersburg Summerfield. The Lions fought hard but ultimately fell short, ending the game with a 2-14 loss.

Despite the outcome, the team’s postseason run was a testament to their growth, grit, and determination. Congratulations on a strong season and a memorable tournament journey!
