Weather Communication Notification

Dear Maple Valley Families,

Since Old Man Winter now seems to be with us for the season, I wanted to reiterate how we relay closure information.  

Remember to update your contact information with our offices to ensure you receive the robocall and email notifications.   We have a new robocall/email system in place.  Our report shows us that 97% of phone calls and 100% of emails were delivered this morning. If for any reason you have not received either a robocall or email notification, please contact the office of your child’s school. Currently, we only notify Mom, Dad, StepMom, StepDad and Guardians.  If you serve in one of these roles in your family and have not received our last two weather notifications, please call the office of your child’s school to update your status in our Student Management System. Also, be aware you can customize the types of information you receive from Maple Valley Schools. Please contact the school office for assistance with any changes. We also post our status on news stations, our website, and Facebook pages.

We plan to allow after-school practices this evening, as plowing and salt are working to improve road safety. Our coaches have been informed to excuse any athletes who cannot safely get to school for practices. Coaches will communicate with you through the Sports YOU App.  All athlete parents will benefit from having access to this App.

Wrestling in Bellevue has been cancelled, Cheer has been cancelled in Gull Lake.  We are hosting JV & Varsity Boys Basketball.
