Eaton RESA Special Education Millage

Greetings all,

A very important education ballot issue is happening on November 7, 2023 for those of you who are voters in the Maple Valley District OR for voters you may know in Eaton County. Eaton RESA has a Special Education Millage on the Ballot.  Our Special Education Budget for all of Maple Valley Schools is funded through ERESA.  We could gain $226,727 annually for ten years which would ultimately put 2.2 million back into our General Education Budget. To think of it another way, it would return $248 of annual funding per pupil back into our general fund. 

This will cost the average homeowner in Eaton County approximately $7.50 per month or $90/year for property with a taxable value of $100,000 (market value of $200,000).

If you are an eligible voter in the Maple Valley School District, OR you know eligible voters in Eaton County, consider this information to inform your vote tomorrow. 

This impacts ALL of our students by improving the underfunded and mandated Special Education budget which allows us to return those funds to our General Fund for other programs and services.
