M-STEP Testing
Please take a moment to read this letter from Mr. Smith in regard to the M-STEP testing.
Dear Jr./Sr. High Parents,
Next week, students in 7th, 8th, and 11th grades will be participating in the M-Step on April 24th and April 26th. Your child should be familiar with M-Step as this assessment is given yearly in grades 3 through 8. Below you will find important information regarding this upcoming assessment.
- 7th Grade M-STEP ELA (Monday, April 24th) and Math (Wednesday, April 26th) - 7th grader students will be participating in the M-Step assessments for ELA and Math. 7th graders will only be participating in the ELA and Math portion of the M-Step, not Science or Social Studies.
- 8th Grade M-STEP Science and Social Studies (Wednesday, April 26th) - 8th grader students will be participating in the M-Step assessments for Science and Social Studies. 8th graders will only be participating in the Science and Social Studies portion of the M-Step, not Reading or Math.
- 11th Grade M-STEP Science and Social Studies (Wednesday, April 26th) - Rounding out the MME suite of assessments is the M-Step assessments for Science and Social Studies. Juniors will only be participating in the Science and Social Studies portion of the M-Step, not Reading or Math.

Please take the time to speak with your child about the importance of this upcoming assessment. Stress the importance of good sleep the night before the test and a healthy breakfast the morning of the test.
