8th Grade Visit to LCC
Parents & Guardians of 8th Grade Students, please take a moment to read this letter from Mrs. Mills.
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:
On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, 8th-grade students have the opportunity to visit LCC West to learn more about the full-year courses available at the Career Preparation Center. Students will be transported by school bus to Lansing Community College West Campus for this visit. The visit will take place from 11:50 am- 1:20 pm. The bus will leave Maple Valley High School at 11:00 a.m. and return to the high school at approximately 2:15 p.m. Lunch will be scheduled earlier that day to provide students with time to eat in the cafeteria before the bus leaves. Students will receive a school-related absence for the classes they miss at school but are responsible for the work they miss that day.
In order to attend, students need to complete the online registration by Feb 7th to sign up for the visitation. This will be done with Mrs. Mills immediately after they attend the Career Preparation Presentation on February 1st in Mr. Martin’s class. Students will use this link to sign up. For more information about the Career Preparation Center, you can visit the Eaton RESA website.
Please understand that Career Preparation Center courses are a big commitment for students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Mills at 616-528-4088.
If you do not want your child to attend the Career Prep Center on March 7th, please contact the High School Office.
