District Technology Mission Statement

The mission of the Maple Valley School District’s Technology Department is to provide the school community with the opportunity for training in the use of technology to access and manage information, enhance creativity, and demonstrate personal and social responsibility. The District will provide staff with tools and training opportunities to integrate technology into the curriculum. Having acquired the necessary technical skills, staff will then model technology use for students, thus guiding and enhancing student achievement.

Technology Department Goals

1. Increase staff, student, and community exposure and knowledge of new technology.
2. Promote productivity, presentation, and enrichment through the application of software and the use of peripherals.
3. Prepare Maple Valley graduates to use technology after high school.
4. Ongoing maintenance and support of technology in the district.
