Welcome Back!
On August 20th, the hallways of Maple Valley once again filled with the sound of lockers slamming, friends reuniting, and fresh school supplies being unpacked as students returned for the start of a brand new school year. The first day of school is always a mix of excitement and nerves, whether you’re a freshman stepping into the building for the very first time, a senior looking forward to your last year as a Lion, or somewhere in between.
Teachers and staff worked hard over the summer to prepare classrooms, update lesson plans, and make sure everything was ready for a strong start. Many students are already looking ahead to opportunities this year, sports seasons, band performances, FFA competitions, Homecoming, and of course, the moments that make high school memorable.
This year also brings a reminder that being a Lion means more than just wearing blue and white; it’s about supporting one another, working hard in the classroom, and showing pride in all we do. Whether it’s academics, athletics, or leadership, there’s something for everyone to get involved in and contribute to our school community.
As we begin this new year together, let’s carry the energy of the first day forward and make this a year to remember. Welcome back, Lions! Let’s make it our best year yet!
