The Winter sports season has wrapped up, and teams are gearing up for Spring sports.
Staff Highlight
Mrs. Salina Eggers serves as the Junior High English Teacher at Maple Valley and is currently in her third year with the district. She attended Adrian College and Grand Valley State University while pursuing her education.
Mrs. Eggers shared that as her children started getting older, she began thinking about returning to teaching. When she saw that Maple Valley was looking for a Junior High English teacher, she felt it would be a great opportunity to return to the classroom and become part of the Maple Valley community.
Her favorite part about working at Maple Valley is the people. She enjoys working with both the students and the staff and values the positive relationships within the school.
Outside of school, Mrs. Eggers enjoys spending time watching her children participate in the activities they love, including Scouts, sports, dance, and theater. When she finds time for herself, she also enjoys reading and doing needlework.
Her advice to students is simple but meaningful: “Each day is a fresh start; take it and do your best.”
