The varsity girls basketball team picked up a solid win at home against Delton Kellogg on February 16th, finishing the game 37-31. The team played with focus and determination, overcoming a competitive opponent to secure the victory.
On February 18th, the girls' basketball teams hosted Concord. Both teams fell short, with the JV team losing 26-34 and the varsity team falling 34-58.
On February 20th, the girls' basketball teams hosted Reading. The JV team fell 11-27, and the varsity team was defeated 31-44.
On February 21st, the JV Girls basketball team traveled to play Pennfield; no score was reported.
On February 16th, the boys' basketball teams traveled to Comstock. The varsity team battled hard but fell short, losing a close game 51-57. No score was reported for the JV game.
On February 17th, the boys' basketball teams hosted Bronson. Both teams came away with wins as the JV team defeated Bronson 48-41 and the varsity team secured a 51-41 victory.
On February 19th, the boys' basketball teams traveled to Concord. The varsity team was defeated 45-66, while no score was reported for the JV game.
On February 16th, the 7th and 8th-grade girls' basketball teams played Stockbridge at home.

At the MHSAA Girls District 3 individual wrestling districts on February 15th, Dakota Leslie represented Maple Valley with determination and skill. Competing in the 110-pound weight class, Dakota received a bye in the first round and then secured a victory by fall in the quarterfinals over Anotidaishe Mangwiro of Holland, finishing that match in just 56 seconds. Dakota’s run ended in the semifinals and consolation rounds, where she faced tough opponents from Middleville Thornapple Kellogg and Holland West Ottawa. Despite the challenging competition, Dakota contributed 6.0 team points for Maple Valley and showed great effort on the mat.
At the MHSAA Region 16 boys individual wrestling tournament on February 21, Maple Valley had strong showings from Jackson Burpee and Joe Long. Jackson Burpee, competing in the 190-pound weight class, advanced to the semifinals after a major decision victory over Jorge Dominguez of Bangor, 17-8. He fell in the semifinal to Rowan Bradford of Decatur but bounced back in the consolation semifinals with a 15-6 major decision over Brennen Allen of North Muskegon. Jackson finished 4th after a tough 1:56 fall loss to J.T. Lux of Mendon.
Joe Long competed in the 285-pound weight class and faced a challenging field. After a quarterfinal loss to Peyton Schuring-Harris of Martin, Joe secured a 5-0 decision over Whyatt Hicks of Saranac in the consolation round. His tournament ended in the consolation semifinals with a 13-3 major decision loss to Mason Carringer of Ravenna. Both wrestlers represented Maple Valley with determination and skill on the mat.
