Fun in the Valley
Winter Break is officially underway at Maple Valley! As we pause and reflect, it has been a great first semester filled with hard work, accomplishments, and plenty of school pride. Our students and staff have done an outstanding job both in and out of the classroom, and we couldn’t be prouder of all that was achieved.
We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved break with family and friends. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the 2025–26 school year brings when we return. Exciting things are ahead!

On December 16th, the JV and Varsity girls basketball teams traveled to Stockbridge High School. The JV team fell 7–42, while the Varsity team also came up short, 12–60, against a tough Stockbridge squad.
On December 19th, the JV and Varsity girls basketball teams traveled to Union City High School. The JV game did not have a score reported, while the Varsity team battled hard but came up short with a 34–47 loss.
On December 15th, the JV and Varsity boys basketball teams traveled to St. Philip Catholic Central High School. No score was reported for the JV game, while the Varsity team battled hard but fell 61–71.
On December 18th, the JV and Varsity boys basketball teams hosted Springport. The JV squad earned a hard-fought win, defeating Springport 55–51, while the Varsity team came up short, falling 41–69.
On December 20th, the Middle School Competitive Cheer team hosted the Maple Valley Holiday Cheer Invite. Competing in the Middle School division, the team delivered a strong performance and finished 2nd overall, earning a trophy. They posted a Round 2 score of 81.84 and an impressive Round 3 score of 233.8, for a final total of 315.64 points. Congratulations to the team on a great showing at their home invite!
On December 20th, the Wrestling team traveled to Martin High School to wrestle in the Clipper Classic.
