Maple Valley Schools is a rural district located in South-central Michigan. The district is centrally located near Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Battle Creek and consists of four buildings housing students, a district administration building, and a bus garage.
Fuller Elementary, located in the village of Nashville, maintains a pre-kindergarten through third grade program. Maplewood School, located in the village of Vermontville, houses our fourth through sixth grades. Maple Valley Jr./Sr. High School, athletic complex, and the District Administration Office are situated on a 49 acres site between the two villages. Our Alternative Education Program is found at the Kellogg Education Center in Nashville. The bus garage and fleet are located in Nashville.
All buildings have received major upgrades over the past few years. Fuller, Maplewood, and the Jr./Sr. High have also received extensive additions to their buildings. All of this has been possible through the last major bond issue approved by the Maple Valley voters in 1997 and the expenditure of General Fund dollars.
The district's proximity to major cities provides many of the educational, cultural, and recreational advantages of metropolitan centers. Michigan State University, Grand Valley State, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, Lansing Community College, and Kellogg Community College are all within easy driving access.
